Like I am Going to Fall for That!

 My usual routine when I get to work is to check my e-mail for any announcements or updates from my boss or from the admin … I can also access messages sent to my personal email from gmail since that it allows mail-forwarding. Out of nowhere I received this crazy email from a certain FLORESED GENECERA claiming that she is with Carousel Productions, Inc. which claims that they coordinate the Ms. Earth 2008 pageant and this certain individual is inviting my unregistered-uber-small-business named Skin101 to be part of their “organization” and funny thing is it’s asking for a whooping Php 200,000.00 as an exchange value for media/product exposure.

First, I’m not blonde. Second, My bust line isn’t 38 and Third, surprisingly I HAVE A BRAIN. I did a google search for this certain FLORESED GENECERA and fortunately she isn’t a mythical creature and does actually have a Friendster account … but I thought “wait a minute! My friend’s cousin’s goldfish have a freakin’ Friendster account too!!!” SO, I browsed through her profile and pictures…di ko kinaya ang mga pose! It got me thinking kung saan ba talaga sya nagtatrabaho… agency sa isang beauty pageant o illegal recruiter ng japayuki? She really did look like a frustrated model with skin problems…made me wonder if she just wanted some freebies from skin101. She can just ask for samples at libre pa shipping! I mean, don’t get me wrong…she does look a bit hot if she lives in California. y’know what I mean?

I have been dealing with professional business men and women of different races and one thing I am sure of is that if you are going to send a proposal via email, one should use the company email or the domain name of the actual business/organization website… NOT a generic yahoo email account.

I don’t know if this is a scam or what but I am not going to shell out Php200,000.00 just to get “exposure” for my products. Di rin ako hayok maging judge sa letseng pageant na yan. Di ko rin kailangan ma-special mention ang business ko sa lesteng programa nila or maipakita sa abs-cbn ang mga products ko sa loob lamang ng sampung Segundo (mag upload na lang ako ng sarili kong commercial sa You Tube! 60 seconds pa!). Di ko rin kailangan ang magpa-picture kasama ang nagtatangkarang mga contestant na wala naman talaga pakielam kung naiiba na ang klima dahil sa lintik na pinausong Global Warming … malamang kung tanungin mo lima dun what they can say about Global Warming – ngingitian ka lang at sasabihing “i love mother earth that’s why I beautify myself for her. I, thank you”

I do hope that they mean well with the said “proposal” and for whatever reason or basis they picked my business, they sure have a crooked way of finding or should I say “ripping” new entrepreneurs off. Thanks, but No Thanks.

Sa tag line nila sa website nila- “ 2008 Miss Earth Beauties for a Cause”  … so what actually can they do aside from making those contestant wear make-up and act like they give a shit about mother earth???

Magbibigay ako ng 10 milyon sa “organization” nila pag napatigil nila ang illegal logging sa Pampanga, mahinto nila ang dynamite/cyanide fishing sa Palawan at maibalik nila ang dating ganda ng Maynila.

Bagyo

ang sakit ng mata ko! dalawang oras lang ang tulog ko kasi panay ang gising ko dahil panay ang iyak ng bunso namin kasi nilalagnat siya…effect daw yun nung vaccine na binigay sa kanya last week….naisip-isip ko…ang lakas naman ng tama ng vaccine na yun! Tinext ko yung pedia nya para malaman kung ilang araw lalagnatin si Euan…5 pm ko sya pinadalhan ng text …11 pm na sya nag reply! sabi nga nila “better late than pregnant”   … sabi ni pedia 3 days lang daw and dapat di lalampas ng 38 yung linya ng mercury sa thermometer…kagabi sobrang taas ng lagnat ni Euan and napapailing na lang ako sa kaba and awa… sana ako na lang ang magkasakit, wag na mga kiddies or si hubby…ngayon ko lang naintindihan yung sinabi ng tatay ko dati na parang dinudurog puso nya pag nakikita kami na may sakit…akala ko noon OA lang sya…totoo pala. Iba pala talaga pag may anak ka na.

Kanina bago ako umalis ng bahay, tiningnan ko kung may lagnat pa si Euan, Di naman mainit…sana nga tapos na ang bagyo sa loob ng katawan nya.

Mantakin mo! Kung di pa ako nagka-anak … di pa ako matututo na bumasa ng regular na thermometer! Dati bumili ako ng de-baterya, kaya lang sabi ng nanay ko di daw accurate yun … at di sya nagkamali dun…kasi dati sobrang init ng katawan ng panganay ko pero sabi sa thermometer na de-baterya 35.5c lang temperature nya…kung di ko pa pinagana instinct ko noon malamang nasapak na ako ng anak ko:)
